Maureen is a qualified Career Development Consultant. Sessions are tailored to suit individuals and are for anyone who needs help making career decisions.

Maureen is self-employed and particularly enjoys helping people choose a tertiary course that suits their circumstances. She does not favour one institution over another. The consulting is strictly independent and focuses on the individual.

Based in Hobart Tasmania, Maureen offers a combination of video and phone calls for online career counselling sessions. She is happy to meet in person for those that live locally.

Maureen is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA). She adheres to the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners as set out by the Career Industry Council of Australia.

Maureen’s own career and education continues to be quite varied.

In 1987 she began work as a Maths Teacher and during that time discovered her love of working with computers.

As a result of this new interest she did some more study and in 1991 transitioned into the Information Technology industry.

In 2010, she discovered yet another new interest which was helping people with their career choices. This lead to further study in 2014 and career development work was added to the mix.

Maureen continues to work as a Computer Consultant and finds this mixes well with being a Career Development Consultant. She has first hand experience of working with technologies that have changed jobs in the last 20 years and has helped work places develop strategies to adapt to those changes. She remains fascinated by new technology and by what skills people may need to be employable in the future.

Career development is an exciting field and Maureen thoroughly enjoys the challenge of helping others decide what to try next!
